The Empowerment and Leadership for Youth and Young Adults Program (ELY) is a FREE job skills training program for out-of-school youth ages 16 to 24 in Marion County. ELY specializes in providing the job readiness training, basic skills training, job search assistance and career exploration assistance that young adults need to successfully interview for a job, secure and retain employment and develop their career or education path. ELY prepares youth to fill jobs in the local workforce and become self-sufficient. ELY teaches the essential skills that local employers are currently looking for, such as:

- Effective Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving
- Leadership
- Assertiveness
- Teambuilding
- Accountability and Self-Motivation
- How to Avoid Risky Thinking and Destructive Behaviors

ELY also provides young adults with individual assistance such as one-on-one career coaching and mentoring, goal setting, resume development, professional references for future employment, job search assistance, educational support and school re-engagement and retention services for youth who have dropped out of high school. ELY will help you enroll in a diploma or GED program, provide tutoring services and will help you choose a career or education path.
